I like Berlin, Cologne and Munich, but the very little towns in Germany are the best, the cutest, the most enchanted, fairy tales come true. They’re magical, but real, and that’s what makes the difference. They’re places full of history, wonderful architecture and beauty you can see in every little detail.
The Romantic Road is internationally famous for its charming little towns. However, some cities are, in my opinion, not that interesting and some others are so tiny, you can just stop by on your way to your next destination. For this reason, I’ve come up with an alternative itinerary, which is dazzling from beginning to end. If you’re planning a trip to Germany, you should consider this route, which includes 6 cities: it starts in Bamberg and ends in Heidelberg, stopping in Dinkelsbühl, Füssen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Meersburg. You should allocate at least two nights for each city.
